Each piece is truly an individual work of art. First the designs are created and drawn from scratch, usually pen and ink or pencil (not by computer, clip art or cameras) and are based on imagery and symbols Conroy has encountered in his travels throughout the united states, specifically the Southwest, Southern California, Hawaii, the Caribbean and Pacific Island areas (Add a dash of life experience and a shot of cabernet for some abstract twists).

The color separations are each drawn separately and registered by hand (these are very tight registrations) and finally, the shirts are then hand pulled silk-screened individually to insure that each piece is personally quality controlled and unique in itself. The designs are actually etched into silk fabric that is stretched onto a frame and the ink is squeegeed over the silk onto the unbleached cotton fabric, leaving the impression of the design on the fabric! The design is then heat set and dried to make it totally colorfast and permanent.

Only the highest quality pre-shrunk 100% unbleached natural cotton garments are used along with water based inks and dyes which are chemical free and environmentally safe. Unbleached cotton is actually the natural fiber and color of cotton before it is bleached out and turned into white fabric ready to dye into other colors. It is virtually clear of all chemicals and much more durable in this natural state. Enjoy!
