Kokopelli is a spirit from the Hopi Indian folklore of the southwestern
U.S.
and is most closely associated with fertility, prosperity and abundance (how coool is he). Based on ancient cave drawings and etchings called petroglyphs, which were drawn some 2000 years ago, Kokopelli is depicted in various acts from spreading seeds which he keeps in his back (hunchback) to playing his flute to bring rains to the deserts. He is also depicted as having various sexual innuendos in a variety of settings as well... Mischievous and powerful, kokopelli is probably the most popular (and fun) spirit from Indian folklore.
